Sun City, California, is located in Riverside County midway between Los Angeles and San Diego.
Residents enjoy mountain and valley views. The community has just over 4,700 residences,
all members of the Sun City Civic
Association, an age 55+ community. There are two golf courses and
the Civic Association provides numerous activities, including swimming, fitness,
shuffleboard, and lawn bowling.
Sun City is about a one hour drive to the the Pacific Ocean where you'll enjoy water sports or a
relaxing day at the beach. Mountain recreation areas and the California desert are also a short
drive away. Diamond Valley Lake, one of the state's largest reservoirs,
offers some of the best fishing in Southern California, and is ten miles from Sun City.
Sun City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 17,773 at the 2000 census.
Recently, there has been an effort to incorporate Sun City and some or all of the nearby
areas of Menifee and Romoland as Menifee Valley. Riverside County is currently investigating
the viability of the proposed new city.
